I considered biking home up highway 30 today (something I rarely do considering it is a highway), but the heat had me too brain-dead to do anything but follow what is by now practically autopilot. Normally I’m against falling into ruts, but today my rut led me well – it led me up a street full of magical free things because today was Rider Appreciation Day (R.A.D.).

I got a hotdog, lemonade, a mini bike tune-up, four beer cozies, flavored water, trail mix, coupons, and beer, all for free just because I happened to ride my bike home up Williams. I’m telling you man, that R.A.D thing is pretty rad.
